Broadly speaking, the Christmas Brass Busk Book has arrangements in 4 categories:

Classical Favourites

These are no-nonsense arrangements of classic works by the greats that are the staples of holiday-themed gigs. They include:

  • Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a
  • For Unto Us a Child Is Born from Messiah, HWV 56
  • Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah, HWV 56
  • Jesus bleibet meine Freude from Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147
  • March from The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a

Jazzed-up

All of the next three categories use some jazz voicings, but for these tunes I didn't hold back. These are high-tempo, dynamic arrangements, sure to be crowd-pleasers:

  • Carol of the Bells
  • The Holly and the Ivy
  • Il est né, le divin Enfant
  • Joy to the World
  • O Tannenbaum

Colourful Classics

From sincerity to grandiosity to irreverence, in these tunes I tried to write tastefully, with a graceful narrative arc. I love trying to bring out unexpected points of interest in the simplest of melodies:

  • A Christmas Carol from Charles Ives' 114 Songs
  • Iesus Ahatonnia (The Huron Carol)
  • In Dulci Jubilo (Good Christian Men, Rejoice)
  • In The Bleak Midwinter
  • Silent Night

Modern Delights

This collection couldn't be complete without some Mariah Carey! Okay, so maybe some of these aren't that modern (Sammy Cahn wrote "Let It Snow" in 1945), but I wanted to play these tunes so badly I spent most of the budget on obtaining print rights for them:

  • All I Want For Christmas is You
  • It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
  • Let it Snow
  • Sleigh Ride
  • You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

Available for adaptable brass ensembles as well as a special version for brass quintet.
