Éditions Plamondon is delighted to offer this one-of-a-kind collection of four works by Ukrainian composer and folklorist Alexander Jacobchuk. With the invaluable input of bassoonist and Ukrainian music scholar Zachary Senick, we have selected Melody and Grotesque, written in 1978, and Elegy and Humoresque, written in 2009. Each piece is around three minutes and portrays a distinctive character, and they are splendid performed individually or all together as a suite.

Alexander Jacobchuk’s Four intermediate works for bassoon and piano is part of ép’s Slava Ukraini series, and revenues from the sales of this title go directly to the composer.
