Éditions Plamondon is very pleased to partner with esteemed Canadian oboist Michelle Feng on this specially tailored arrangement of the iconic “La fleur que tu m’avais jetée” aria from Bizet’s Carmen.
This edition features two options for performance with piano accompaniment. In the first version, the oboist is featured performing Don José’s sweeping melody with the cor anglais in a supporting role; in the other, two cor anglais players share the melodic material equally. This is one of the only high-quality English horn duets available on the market and makes for an excellent showcase or encore piece.
Michelle Feng was appointed Principal Oboe of the Victoria Symphony in 2024. Raised in Vancouver, BC, her “authoritative, soulful” playing has enraptured audiences across the globe (Your Observer News, 2015).
