Zenoby Lawryshyn's Woodwind Quintet [Digital Download]

Ukrainian-born Zenoby Lawryshyn may have written his Woodwind Quintet during his time as a student at the University of Toronto, but don’t be fooled; this work is not for the faint of heart. Lawryshyn expertly weaves folkloric elements into twelve-tone structures in this dissonant, emotional, and at times quirky piece.

The work is comprised of 9 movements, inviting the performers to carefully explore and unravel the structures within.

Zenoby Lawryshyn’s Woodwind Quintet is part of ép’s Slava Ukraini series, and revenues from the sales of this title go directly to the composer’s family.
